Capabilities

CMT has two anodizing lines, both producing Type II anodizing (Sulfuric Acid).  One of the lines is dedicated to commercial production while the other is for parts that require cosmetic finishing only. We keep five standard colors on line and custom colors are available on request. Our largest tank size is 10ft. x 5ft. x 3 ft.

About Anodizing

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of aluminum parts. Anodizing increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal. Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interference effects to reflected light.
